1. This 72V 15kWh pack looks good, but the dimensions don’t fit my specific chassis perfectly. Can you change the size?
Absolutely. That is what we do best. Since we are the manufacturer, we can redesign the metal case to fit your specific space. Just send me your battery compartment dimensions, and I’ll have my engineering team draw up a custom “thin” design that fits your Rickshaw or Cargo trike like a glove.
2. Why should I switch to this LiFePO4 battery instead of sticking with cheaper lead-acid batteries?
It comes down to TCO (Total Cost of Ownership). Lead-acid batteries are heavy and need replacing every year or two. Our LiFePO4 (LFP) packs last for 4,000+ cycles—that’s about more than 10 years of use. Plus, they are much lighter, which means your EV gets better range and handling.
3. Is this battery safe for passenger vehicles like Tuk-tuks and Pedicabs?
Safety is our #1 priority. We use LFP chemistry, which is the safest lithium tech available—it won’t catch fire or explode even if punctured. On top of that, our built-in BMS (Battery Management System) constantly monitors the pack to prevent over-heating or short circuits.
4. Can I monitor the battery status on the driver’s dashboard?
Yes, you can. We can integrate CAN Bus or RS485 communication protocols into the BMS. This allows the battery to talk to your vehicle’s controller and display, showing the driver real-time data like SOC (State of Charge), voltage, and temperature.
5. How durable is the casing? These three-wheelers drive on pretty rough roads.
We know e-trikes take a beating. That’s why we don’t use cheap plastic cases for these commercial projects. We use a rugged sheet metal enclosure that protects the cells from vibration and impact. It’s built to handle potholes and daily commercial use.
6. What is the continuous discharge current for this 15kWh pack?
We customize this based on your motor. Usually, for a 72V system, we set it up to handle the max current your motor controller needs. Whether you have a 3kW or a 5kW motor, we will match the BMS to ensure you have enough power for climbing hills with a full load.
7. Do you provide the charger as well?
Yes, we provide a complete solution. We can supply a compatible onboard or off-board charger that matches the battery’s chemistry and voltage. This ensures safe charging and extends the battery life.
8. What kind of connectors do you use?
We use whatever you need. Most clients prefer Anderson plugs, Amphenol, or Chogori connectors for these types of EVs. Just let me know what connector is on your vehicle side, and we will make the battery “plug-and-play.”
9. Is the battery waterproof?
Standard builds are water-resistant (IP65), which is fine for splashes and rain. If your vehicles operate in areas with flooding or deep water, let us know—we can upgrade the sealing to IP67 level ⇱ to keep the internals dry even if submerged briefly.
10. What is the lead time if I order a sample versus a bulk order?
For a custom sample, it usually takes about 15-20 days to design, build, and test. For bulk orders, we can usually finish production in 25-30 days depending on the quantity. We move fast because we know you have project deadlines.
11. Does the battery performance drop in extreme temperatures?
LFP batteries perform very well in high heat (up to 60°C/140°F), which is great for tropical climates. In freezing temps, charging can be tricky, but we can add a heating film to the pack if your target market is in a cold region.
12. I’m an EV project manager, not a battery expert. Can you help me calculate the range?
For sure. Just tell me your motor wattage, the average speed, and the total weight of the loaded vehicle. I’ll do the math and tell you if 15kWh is enough to hit your target range, or if we need to adjust the capacity.
13. How do you handle shipping for these large batteries?
Shipping lithium batteries (Class 9 Dangerous Goods) can be a headache, but we handle it for you. We have all the UN38.3 ⇱ and MSDS certifications required. We can ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) right to your door, so you don’t have to worry about customs.
14. What is the warranty policy?
We offer a standard 3-year warranty on our commercial EV batteries. If there is a technical issue, we provide remote support to diagnose it. If a part (like the BMS) is faulty, we ship a replacement part or replace the unit based on the contract terms.
15. Can you put my company logo on the battery case?
Yes, we fully support OEM branding. We can silk-screen or laser engrave your logo and model number on the metal case. It helps with your brand visibility and makes the product look professional to your end customers.
